[1502] "It is good indeed, friends (āvuso), to possess confirmed confidence (aveccappasāda) in the Buddha: 'Thus indeed is that Blessed One … teacher of devas and humans, the Buddha, the Blessed One.' Because of possessing confirmed confidence in the Buddha, friends, some beings here, with the breakup of the body, after death, have been reborn in a good destination, a heavenly world.
It is good indeed, friends, [to possess confirmed confidence] in the Dhamma … in the Saṅgha … It is good indeed to possess the virtues dear to the noble ones — unbroken … conducive to concentration (samādhi). Because of possessing the virtues dear to the noble ones, friends, some beings here, with the breakup of the body, after death, have been reborn in a good destination, a heavenly world."
