[1553] "Householder, such unvirtuous conduct (dussīlya), endowed with which an uninstructed worldling (assutavā puthujjano), with the breakup of the body, after death, is reborn in a state of deprivation, a bad destination, the lower realm, hell — such unvirtuous conduct is not found in you. And you, householder, possess the virtues dear to the noble ones (ariyakantāni sīlāni) — unbroken … conducive to concentration (samādhi). And as you contemplate in yourself those virtues dear to the noble ones, your feelings (vedanā) may subside on the spot."
