[1570] "Householder, are you bearing up? Are you getting along? Are your painful feelings (vedanā) subsiding and not increasing? Is their subsiding, not their increasing, apparent?" "Venerable sir, I am not bearing up; I am not getting along. Strong painful feelings are increasing in me, not subsiding. Their increasing, not their subsiding, is apparent."
