[1576] With which four factors of stream-entry (sotāpattiyaṅga) is he endowed? Here, householder, a noble disciple is endowed with confirmed confidence (aveccappasāda) in the Buddha: 'Thus indeed is that Blessed One … teacher of devas and humans, the Buddha, the Blessed One.' … in the Dhamma … in the Saṅgha … He is endowed with virtues dear to the noble ones (ariyakanta sīla) — unbroken … conducive to concentration (samādhi). With these four factors of stream-entry he is endowed.
