Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Mahāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 19 · Section 1582

[1582] And, Nandaka, a noble disciple (ariyasāvaka) who is endowed with these four dhammas is endowed with long life, both divine and human; is endowed with beauty (vaṇṇa), both divine and human; is endowed with happiness, both divine and human; is endowed with fame (yasa), both divine and human; is endowed with sovereignty (ādhipateyya), both divine and human. And this, Nandaka, I do not say having heard it from another ascetic or brahmin; rather, what I have known for myself, seen for myself, understood for myself — that alone do I declare.
