[1632] He should be told thus: "Friend, the Tāvatiṃsa devas are more excellent and more sublime than the Cātummahārājika devas. It would be good, venerable sir, if, having withdrawn your mind (citta) from the Cātummahārājika devas, you were to resolve your mind upon the Tāvatiṃsa devas." If he should say: "My mind has been withdrawn from the Cātummahārājika devas; my mind has been resolved upon the Tāvatiṃsa devas" — he should be told thus: "Friend, than the Tāvatiṃsa devas … the Yāmā devas … the Tusitā devas … the Nimmānaratī devas … the Paranimmitavasavattī devas … Friend, the Brahmā world is more excellent and more sublime than the Paranimmitavasavattī devas. It would be good, venerable sir, if, having withdrawn your mind from the Paranimmitavasavattī devas, you were to resolve your mind upon the Brahmā world." If he should say: "My mind has been withdrawn from the Paranimmitavasavattī devas; my mind has been resolved upon the Brahmā world" —
