Gaṅgāpācīnninnasutta

[199] The setting is Sāvatthī (Sāvatthīnidānaṃ). Bhikkhus, just as the river Gaṅgā slants toward the east, slopes toward the east, inclines toward the east — even so, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu developing the Noble Eightfold Path (ariya aṭṭhaṅgika magga), making much of the Noble Eightfold Path, slants toward Nibbāna, slopes toward Nibbāna, inclines toward Nibbāna.
