[286] Setting at Sāvatthī. "Bhikkhus, just as a great wind makes a great rain-cloud that has arisen vanish and subside right there in mid-course, even so, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu developing the Noble Eightfold Path (ariya aṭṭhaṅgika magga), cultivating the Noble Eightfold Path, makes evil, unwholesome states, whenever they arise, vanish and subside right there in mid-course."
