[322] "Bhikkhus, it is for the direct knowledge (abhiññā), for the full understanding (pariññā), for the utter destruction (parikkhaya), and for the abandoning (pahāna) of these three stakes (khīla) … that this Noble Eightfold Path is to be developed."
