[334] "Bhikkhus, it is for the direct knowledge (abhiññā), full understanding (pariññā), utter destruction, and abandonment of these four floods (ogha) … that this Noble Eightfold Path should be developed." (This should be expanded in the same way as the discourse on searches [esanā].)
