Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Mahāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 19 · Section 371

[371] And what, bhikkhus, is the nourishment (āhāra) for the arising of the unarisen equanimity factor of awakening (upekkhāsambojjhaṅga), or for the development and fulfillment of the arisen equanimity factor of awakening? There are, bhikkhus, dhammas that serve as a basis for the equanimity factor of awakening: frequently applying careful attention (yonisomanasikāra) to them — this is the nourishment for the arising of the unarisen equanimity factor of awakening, or for the development and fulfillment of the arisen equanimity factor of awakening.
