[408] Bhikkhus, these seven factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga), when developed and cultivated, arise, not having arisen before — and not apart from the discipline of the Sugata. What are the seven? The awakening factor of mindfulness … the awakening factor of equanimity. These, bhikkhus, are the seven factors of awakening which, when developed and cultivated, arise, not having arisen before — and not apart from the discipline of the Sugata.
