[44] "Bhikkhus, how will a bhikkhu, by rightly directed view and by rightly directed development of the path, break ignorance (avijjā), arouse true knowledge (vijjā), and realize Nibbāna? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu develops right view (sammādiṭṭhi), which is dependent on seclusion (viveka), dependent on dispassion (virāga), dependent on cessation (nirodha), maturing in relinquishment (vossagga) … he develops right concentration (samādhi), which is dependent on seclusion, dependent on dispassion, dependent on cessation, maturing in relinquishment. It is in this way, bhikkhus, that a bhikkhu, by rightly directed view and by rightly directed development of the path, will break ignorance, arouse true knowledge, and realize Nibbāna."
