[465] Bhikkhus, whatever dhammas are wholesome (kusala), partaking of the wholesome, siding with the wholesome — all of them are rooted in careful attention (yoniso manasikāra) and converge upon careful attention; careful attention is declared the foremost of those dhammas. Bhikkhus, for a bhikkhu accomplished in careful attention this may be expected: he will develop the seven factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga), he will cultivate the seven factors of awakening.
