[491] Bhikkhus, these seven factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga) are non-obstructing, non-hindering, non-corrupting of the mind (citta); when developed and cultivated, they lead to the realization of the fruit of true knowledge and liberation. What seven? The awakening factor of mindfulness (satisambojjhaṅga), bhikkhus, is non-obstructing, non-hindering, non-corrupting of the mind; when developed and cultivated, it leads to the realization of the fruit of true knowledge and liberation. … The awakening factor of equanimity (upekkhāsambojjhaṅga), bhikkhus, is non-obstructing, non-hindering, non-corrupting of the mind; when developed and cultivated, it leads to the realization of the fruit of true knowledge and liberation. These, indeed, bhikkhus, are the seven factors of awakening that are non-obstructing, non-hindering, non-corrupting of the mind; when developed and cultivated, they lead to the realization of the fruit of true knowledge and liberation.
