[724] Setting at Sāvatthī. Then the Venerable Sāriputta approached the Blessed One; having approached, he paid homage to the Blessed One and sat down at one side. Sitting at one side, the Venerable Sāriputta said this to the Blessed One: "Venerable sir, it is said, 'a great man, a great man.' In what way, venerable sir, is one a great man?" "It is because of the liberation of the mind (citta), Sāriputta, that I call one 'a great man.' Because the mind is not liberated, I do not call one 'a great man.'"
