[908] But, bhikkhus, when I directly knew as it really is (yathābhūta) the origin, the passing away, the gratification, the danger, and the escape in the case of these six faculties (indriya), then, bhikkhus, in this world with its devas, with its Māra, with its Brahmā, in this generation with its ascetics and brahmins, with its devas and humans, I claimed to have fully awakened to the unsurpassed perfect awakening. And knowledge (ñāṇa) and vision arose in me: "Unshakeable is my liberation; this is my last birth (jāti); now there is no renewed existence."
