Mātikāvibhaṅga

[22] When it is a caravan (sattha) belonging to a single family: having deposited the robe in the caravan, he should not go beyond seven abbhantaras in front or behind, and should not go beyond one abbhantara to the side. When it is a caravan belonging to different families: having deposited the robe in the caravan, he should not go beyond arm's reach (hatthapāsa).
