[339] **"Should inform"** means: [a bhikkhu informs] one not fully ordained (anupasampanna) thus: "The bhikkhu by whom your dwelling (vihāra) was used, by whom your robe was used, by whom your almsfood was used, by whom your lodging was used, by whom your requisite of medicines as support for the sick was used — that bhikkhu entered upon, enters upon, has entered upon the fourth jhāna in an empty dwelling; that bhikkhu is an obtainer of, a master of, the fourth jhāna in an empty dwelling; by that bhikkhu the fourth jhāna has been realized in an empty dwelling" — for the one speaking thus, there is an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa).
