[338] **"Should tell"** means: if, to one not fully ordained (anupasampanna), he says, "The bhikkhu who lived in your dwelling attained, attains, has attained the first jhāna; that bhikkhu is an obtainer of the first jhāna and a master of it; by that bhikkhu the first jhāna has been realized" — there is an offense of wrong conduct (dukkaṭa).
**"Should tell"** means: if, to one not fully ordained, he says, "The bhikkhu who lived in your dwelling attained, attains, has attained the second jhāna … the third jhāna … the fourth jhāna; that bhikkhu is an obtainer of the fourth jhāna and a master of it; by that bhikkhu the fourth jhāna has been realized" — there is an offense of wrong conduct.
**"Should tell"** means: if, to one not fully ordained, he says, "The bhikkhu who lived in your dwelling attained, attains, has attained the emptiness liberation (suññata vimokkha) … the signless liberation (animitta vimokkha) … the undirected liberation (appaṇihita vimokkha) … the emptiness concentration (samādhi) … the signless concentration … the undirected concentration; that bhikkhu is an obtainer of the undirected concentration and a master of it; by that bhikkhu the undirected concentration has been realized" — there is an offense of wrong conduct.
**"Should tell"** means: if, to one not fully ordained, he says, "The bhikkhu who lived in your dwelling attained the emptiness attainment (samāpatti) … the signless attainment … the undirected attainment … the three true knowledges (vijjā) … the four establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna) … the four right strivings … the four bases of spiritual power … the five faculties … the five powers … the seven factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga) … the noble eightfold path … the fruit of stream-entry … the fruit of once-returning … the fruit of non-returning … the fruit of arahantship …; by that bhikkhu lust (rāga) has been given up, vomited up, released, abandoned, relinquished, cast off, completely cast off; hatred has been given up … delusion has been given up …; that bhikkhu's mind (citta) is rid of the hindrance of lust, his mind is rid of the hindrance of hatred, his mind is rid of the hindrance of delusion" — there is an offense of wrong conduct.

**"Should tell"** means: if, to one not fully ordained, he says, "The bhikkhu who used your dwelling, who used your robe, who used your almsfood, who used your lodging, who used your requisite of medicines for the sick, attained, attains, has attained the fourth jhāna in an empty dwelling; that bhikkhu is an obtainer of the fourth jhāna in an empty dwelling and a master of it; by that bhikkhu the fourth jhāna has been realized in an empty dwelling" — there is an offense of wrong conduct.
