[322] **"Should tell" (āroceyya)** means: for one who says to a person not fully ordained (anupasampanna), "I attained (samāpajjiṃ) the first jhāna and the second jhāna; I attain them; I have attained them; I am an obtainer of the first jhāna and of the second jhāna; I am a master of them; the first jhāna and the second jhāna have been realized by me" — there is an offense of pācittiya (āpatti pācittiyassa). **"Should tell"** means: for one who says to a person not fully ordained, "the first jhāna and the third jhāna …" … "I attained the first jhāna and the fourth jhāna; I attain them; I have attained them; I am an obtainer of the first jhāna and of the fourth jhāna; I am a master of them; the first jhāna and the fourth jhāna have been realized by me" — there is an offense of pācittiya.
