Vinayapiṭaka · Bhikkhu Vibhaṅga (2) · Vol. 2 · Section 323

[323] "Should tell" means: [a bhikkhu tells] one not fully ordained (anupasampanna): "The first jhāna together with — [each being paired with it in turn] — the emptiness liberation (suññata vimokkha), the signless liberation (animitta vimokkha), the wishless liberation (appaṇihita vimokkha), the emptiness concentration (samādhi) (suññata samādhi), the signless concentration (animitta samādhi), the wishless concentration (appaṇihita samādhi) — I attained, I attain, I have attained; of the first jhāna and of the wishless concentration [— and so for each intermediate pairing —] I am a gainer, I am a master; the first jhāna and the wishless concentration have been realized by me" — for the one speaking thus there is an offense of pācittiya [for each such statement].
