[310] "Should tell" means: for one who says to a person not fully ordained (anupasampanna), "I attained, I attain, I have attained the second jhāna … the third jhāna … the fourth jhāna; I am a gainer of the fourth jhāna; I am a master of it; the fourth jhāna has been realized by me" — there is an offense (āpatti) of pācittiya.
