[330] "Should tell" means: for one who says to a person not fully ordained (anupasampanna), "I attained, I attain, I have attained the first jhāna and the fruit of stream-entry (sotāpattiphala) and the fruit of once-returning (sakadāgāmiphala) and the fruit of non-returning (anāgāmiphala) and the fruit of arahantship (arahattaphala); I am a gainer of, I am a master of, the first jhāna … and the fruit of arahantship; the first jhāna … and the fruit of arahantship have been realized by me" — there is an offense of pācittiya.
