[317] "Should tell" (āroceyya) means: for one who says to a person not fully ordained (anupasampanna), "I attained the noble eightfold path," "I am attaining it," "I have attained it," "I am a gainer of the noble eightfold path," "I have mastery of it," "the noble eightfold path has been realized by me" — there is an offence of pācittiya.
