[329] "Should tell" (āroceyya) means: for a bhikkhu who says to one not fully ordained (anupasampanna), "I attained (samāpajjiṃ) the first jhāna and the noble eightfold path; I am attaining (samāpajjāmi) them; I have attained (samāpanno) them; I am an obtainer (lābhī) of the first jhāna and of the noble eightfold path; I am a master (vasī) of them; the first jhāna and the noble eightfold path have been realized (sacchikata) by me" — there is an offense of pācittiya.
