[361] Then the Blessed One, having rebuked the Venerable Channa in many ways, [spoke in dispraise of] being difficult to support¹ … "And thus, bhikkhus, you should recite this training rule: 'In being one who speaks evasively, in being one who causes vexation, there is [an offense of] pācittiya.'" ¹ [Siam Raṭṭha editorial footnote:] "This must be a superfluous reading (atirekapāṭhena bhavitabbaṃ)."
