[395] When it belongs to the Saṅgha, and he perceives it as belonging to the Saṅgha, if he sits down upon or lies down upon a bed or a bench with detachable legs (āhaccapādaka) on the upper level of a lofted dwelling (vehāsakuṭi), there is an offence of pācittiya. When it belongs to the Saṅgha, and he is in doubt, if he sits down upon or lies down upon a bed or a bench with detachable legs on the upper level of a lofted dwelling, there is an offence of pācittiya. When it belongs to the Saṅgha, and he perceives it as belonging to an individual, if he sits down upon or lies down upon a bed or a bench with detachable legs on the upper level of a lofted dwelling, there is an offence of pācittiya.
When it belongs to an individual, and he perceives it as belonging to the Saṅgha, there is an offence of dukkaṭa. When it belongs to an individual, and he is in doubt, there is an offence of dukkaṭa. When it belongs to an individual, and he perceives it as belonging to an individual — if it belongs to another individual — there is an offence of dukkaṭa. When it belongs to himself as an individual, there is no offence.
