**"Bhikkhunī"** means one fully ordained in both Saṅghas.
**"Together with" (saddhiṃ):** as one.
**"Having arranged" (saṃvidhāya):** if he makes an arrangement, saying, "Let us go, sister"; "Let us go, venerable sir"; "Let us go, venerable sir"; "Let us go, sister — let us go today, or tomorrow, or the day after," there is an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa).
**"Even to the next village" (antamaso gāmantarampi):** among villages spaced a cock's flight apart, for each village-interval there is an offense of expiation (pācittiya). In an uninhabited region, in the wilderness, for every half-yojana there is an offense of expiation.
**"Except at the proper occasion" (aññatra samayā):** setting aside the occasion.
A road **"to be traveled with a caravan" (satthagamanīyo)** means: it is not possible to go without a caravan.
**"Risky" (sāsaṅkaṃ)** means: on that road a place where thieves have encamped is seen, a place where they have eaten is seen, a place where they have stood is seen, a place where they have sat is seen, a place where they have lain down is seen.
**"Dangerous" (sappaṭibhayaṃ)** means: on that road people are seen who have been killed by thieves, are seen who have been plundered, are seen who have been beaten.
Having traveled through the dangerous stretch and seen that it is free of danger, they should be sent off: "Go, sisters."
