[569] When it is more than three nights, perceiving it as more, he stays with an army: an offense (āpatti) of pācittiya. When it is more than three nights, being in doubt, he stays with an army: an offense of pācittiya. When it is more than three nights, perceiving it as less, he stays with an army: an offense of pācittiya. When it is less than three nights, perceiving it as more: an offense of dukkaṭa. When it is less than three nights, being in doubt: an offense of dukkaṭa. When it is less than three nights, perceiving it as less: no offense.
