[591] There is no offense (anāpatti): if he is not intending to play; if, there being something that must be done, having entered the water he submerges, or emerges, or swims; if, going to the other shore, he submerges, or emerges, or swims; in emergencies; for one who is mad; for the first offender (ādikammika). # 1.
