[621] When it has not been taken [back] (anādinna), perceiving it as not taken, he uses it: an offense (āpatti) of pācittiya. When it has not been taken, being in doubt, he uses it: an offense of pācittiya. When it has not been taken, perceiving it as taken, he uses it: an offense of pācittiya. When it has been taken, perceiving it as not taken: an offense of dukkaṭa. When it has been taken, being in doubt: an offense of dukkaṭa. When it has been taken, perceiving it as taken: no offense.
