[629] When the person is fully ordained (upasampanna) and the bhikkhu perceives him as fully ordained, if he hides, or has another hide, his bowl, his robe, his sitting cloth (nisīdana), his needle case, or his waistband — even if only seeking a laugh — there is an offence of pācittiya. When the person is fully ordained but the bhikkhu is in doubt, if he hides, or has another hide, his bowl, his robe, his sitting cloth, his needle case, or his waistband — even if only seeking a laugh — there is an offence of pācittiya. When the person is fully ordained but the bhikkhu perceives him as not fully ordained (anupasampanna), if he hides, or has another hide, his bowl, his robe, his sitting cloth, his needle case, or his waistband — even if only seeking a laugh — there is an offence of pācittiya.
If he hides, or has another hide, any other requisite (parikkhāra) — even if only seeking a laugh — there is an offence of dukkaṭa. If he hides, or has another hide, the bowl, the robe, or any other requisite of one not fully ordained — even if only seeking a laugh — there is an offence of dukkaṭa. When the person is not fully ordained and the bhikkhu perceives him as fully ordained, there is an offence of dukkaṭa. When the person is not fully ordained but the bhikkhu is in doubt, there is an offence of dukkaṭa. When the person is not fully ordained and the bhikkhu perceives him as not fully ordained, there is an offence of dukkaṭa.
