[630] There is no offense (anāpatti): if he does not intend fun; if he puts away [an article] that has been badly put down; if he puts it away, thinking, "I shall give it back after giving a talk on the Dhamma"; if he is insane; if he is the first offender (ādikammika). The tenth training rule (sikkhāpada) is finished. The Surāpāna Chapter, the sixth. __________________ Its summary (uddāna): Liquor, finger, and laughter [in the water],¹ disrespect and frightening,² fire, bathing, discoloring, on one's own [authority], and by hiding. __________________ ¹ "toyañca" ("and water") is also a reading. ² Burmese edition: "bhiṃsanaṃ."
