[671] When a bhikkhu has been suspended (ukkhittaka), and one perceives him as suspended, if one eats together with him, or lives in communion with him, or shares a sleeping place with him, there is an offence (āpatti) of pācittiya.
When a bhikkhu has been suspended, and one is in doubt, if one eats together with him, or lives in communion with him, or shares a sleeping place with him, there is an offence of dukkaṭa.
When a bhikkhu has been suspended, and one perceives him as not suspended, if one eats together with him, or lives in communion with him, or shares a sleeping place with him, there is no offence.
When a bhikkhu has not been suspended, and one perceives him as suspended, there is an offence of dukkaṭa.
When a bhikkhu has not been suspended, and one is in doubt, there is an offence of dukkaṭa.
When a bhikkhu has not been suspended, and one perceives him as not suspended, there is no offence.
