[722] There is no offense (anāpatti): if he goes away thinking, "There will be strife, quarrel, contention, or dispute for the Saṅgha"; if he goes away thinking, "There will be a schism in the Saṅgha (saṅghabheda) or a rift in the Saṅgha (saṅgharāji)"; if he goes away thinking, "It will carry out a formal act (kamma) unrighteously, or with an incomplete assembly (vagga), or against one not deserving of a formal act"; if he goes away when ill; if he goes away on business to be done for one who is ill; if he goes away pressed by excrement or urine; if, not desiring to invalidate the formal act, he goes away thinking, "I shall come back again"; if he is insane; if he is the first offender.
