[779] There is no offence (anāpatti): if he makes one smaller (than the measure); if, having obtained one made by another, he cuts it down and uses it; if he makes a canopy (vitāna), or a ground-covering, or a screen-wall (sāṇipākāra), or a mattress (bhisi), or a pillow (bimbohana); if he is mad (ummattaka); if he is the first offender (ādikammika).
