[779] There is no offence (anāpatti): if he makes one smaller (than the measure); if, having obtained one made by another, he cuts it down and uses it; if he makes a canopy (vitāna), or a ground-covering, or a screen-wall (sāṇipākāra), or a mattress (bhisi), or a pillow (bimbohana); if he is mad (ummattaka); if he is the first offender (ādikammika). The Tenth Training Rule is finished. The Ratana Chapter, the ninth. __________________ Its summary verse (uddāna): The king, and the jewel, one present, the needle, and the bed, the cotton stuffing, the sitting-cloth, and the itch(-covering cloth), the rains(-bathing cloth), and by the Sugata('s measure).
