[444] Bhikkhus, one possessing three qualities should be known as a fool. Which three? He poses a question unwisely (ayoniso); he answers a question unwisely; and when another has answered a question wisely (yoniso), with phrasing that is well-rounded, polished, and apt, he does not rejoice in it. Bhikkhus, one possessing these three qualities should be known as a fool. Bhikkhus, one possessing three qualities should be known as a wise person. Which three? He poses a question wisely; he answers a question wisely; and when another has answered a question wisely, with phrasing that is well-rounded, polished, and apt, he rejoices in it. Bhikkhus, one possessing these three qualities should be known as a wise person.
