[586] [147] Bhikkhus, one possessing three qualities is placed in hell (niraya) as if brought and put there. What three? Unwholesome (akusala) bodily action (kāyakamma), unwholesome verbal action (vacīkamma), and unwholesome mental action (manokamma). Possessing these three qualities, bhikkhus, one is placed in hell as if brought and put there. Bhikkhus, one possessing three qualities is placed in heaven (sagga) as if brought and put there. What three? Wholesome (kusala) bodily action, wholesome verbal action, and wholesome mental action. Possessing these three qualities, bhikkhus, one is placed in heaven as if brought and put there.
