[149] Bhikkhus, there are these four kinds of good conduct in word (vacīsucarita). What four? Truthful speech, speech that is not divisive, gentle speech, and speech spoken with wisdom (mantābhāsā). These, bhikkhus, are the four kinds of good conduct in word.
