[18] Bhikkhus, there are these four ways of not going a wrong course (agati). Which four? One does not go a wrong course out of desire (chanda), one does not go a wrong course out of hatred, one does not go a wrong course out of delusion, one does not go a wrong course out of fear. These, bhikkhus, are the four ways of not going a wrong course.
One who does not transgress the Dhamma
through desire, hatred, fear, or delusion —
his fame becomes full,
like the moon in the bright fortnight.
