And what, bhikkhus, is the person of evil character? Here, bhikkhus, a certain person is one of wrong view (micchādiṭṭhi) … is one of wrong knowledge (micchāñāṇa), is one of wrong deliverance (micchāvimutti). This one, bhikkhus, is called the person of evil character.
And what, bhikkhus, is the person of a character more evil than the one of evil character? Here, bhikkhus, a certain person is himself one of wrong view and encourages others in wrong view … he is himself one of wrong knowledge and encourages others in wrong knowledge; he is himself one of wrong deliverance and encourages others in wrong deliverance. This one, bhikkhus, is called the person of a character more evil than the one of evil character.
