[248] Bhikkhus, these four dhammas lead to the growth of wisdom (paññā). What four? Association with good and wise persons (sappurisasaṃseva), hearing the true Dhamma (saddhammassavana), reasoned attention (yonisomanasikāra), and practice in accordance with the Dhamma (dhammānudhammapaṭipatti). These, bhikkhus, are the four dhammas that lead to the growth of wisdom.
