[351] Bhikkhus, possessed of six dhammas, a bhikkhu in no long time attains to greatness and abundance (vepullatta) in [wholesome] dhammas. What six? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu is abundant in light (ālokabahulo), abundant in endeavour (yogabahulo), abundant in inspired joy (vedabahulo), abundant in discontent (asantuṭṭhibahulo) with regard to wholesome dhammas, one who does not lay down the burden (anikkhittadhuro) with regard to wholesome dhammas, and he strives onward to what is higher. Possessed of these six dhammas, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu in no long time attains to greatness and abundance in dhammas.
