[378] "Bhikkhus, there are these three dhammas. What three? Lust (rāga), hatred (dosa), and delusion (moha). These, bhikkhus, are the three dhammas. For the abandoning of these three dhammas, bhikkhus, three dhammas should be developed. What three? For the abandoning of lust, [the contemplation of] foulness (asubhā) should be developed; for the abandoning of hatred, loving-kindness (mettā) should be developed; for the abandoning of delusion, wisdom (paññā) should be developed. For the abandoning of these three dhammas, bhikkhus, these three dhammas should be developed."
