[386] Bhikkhus, there are these three dhammas. What three? Being difficult to admonish (dovacassatā), having bad friends (pāpamittatā), and distraction of mind (cetaso vikkhepo). These, bhikkhus, are the three dhammas. Bhikkhus, for the abandoning of these three dhammas, three dhammas should be developed. What three? For the abandoning of being difficult to admonish, being easy to admonish (sovacassatā) should be developed; for the abandoning of having bad friends, having good friends (kalyāṇamittatā) should be developed; for the abandoning of distraction of mind, mindfulness of breathing (ānāpānasati) should be developed. Bhikkhus, for the abandoning of these three dhammas, these three dhammas should be developed.
