[76] Bhikkhus, possessing seven qualities, a bhikkhu who is an expert in the Discipline (vinayadhara) shines. What seven? He knows what is an offense (āpatti); he knows what is not an offense; he knows a light offense; he knows a grave offense; he is virtuous … he trains in the training rules (sikkhāpada) he has undertaken; of the four jhānas … he is one who gains them without difficulty; with the destruction of the taints (āsava) … having realized it for himself, he enters upon and dwells therein. Bhikkhus, possessing these seven qualities, a bhikkhu who is an expert in the Discipline shines.
