[89] Bhikkhus, for the direct knowledge (abhiññā) of lust (rāga), seven dhammas should be developed. What seven? The perception (saññā) of foulness, the perception of death, the perception of repulsiveness in nutriment, the perception of non-delight in the entire world, the perception of impermanence, the perception of suffering (dukkha) in what is impermanent, and the perception of non-self in what is suffering. Bhikkhus, for the direct knowledge of lust, these seven dhammas should be developed.
