[100] Bhikkhus, without having abandoned these ten things, one is incapable of realizing arahantship (arahatta). What ten? Lust (rāga), hatred (dosa), delusion (moha), anger (kodha), grudging (upanāha), denigration (makkha), domineering (paḷāsa), envy (issā), meanness (macchariya), and conceit (māna). Bhikkhus, without having abandoned these ten things, one is incapable of realizing arahantship.
Bhikkhus, having abandoned these ten things, one is capable of realizing arahantship. What ten? Lust, hatred, delusion, anger, grudging, denigration, domineering, envy, meanness, and conceit. Bhikkhus, having abandoned these ten things, one is capable of realizing arahantship.
