[121] Bhikkhus, this is the forerunner, this is the precursor of the rising of the sun, namely, the dawn (aruṇutta). So too, bhikkhus, this is the forerunner, this is the precursor of wholesome dhammas, namely, right view (sammādiṭṭhi). For one of right view, bhikkhus, right thought (sammāsaṅkappa) comes to be; for one of right thought, right speech (sammāvācā) comes to be; for one of right speech, right action (sammākammanta) comes to be; for one of right action, right livelihood (sammā-ājīva) comes to be; for one of right livelihood, right effort (sammāvāyāma) comes to be; for one of right effort, right mindfulness (sammāsati) comes to be; for one of right mindfulness, right concentration (sammāsamādhi) comes to be; for one of right concentration, right knowledge (sammāñāṇa) comes to be; for one of right knowledge, right deliverance (sammāvimutti) comes to be.
